Choose Both: Vertical and Horizontal Video
Don't limit your potential for views, reach, and revenue!
It’s no surprise that we love video here at Aspire but not just because it’s fun and flashy. Video continues to be what platforms push and what customers love. We don’t see that trend ending anytime soon. If you’re planning to push video content in 2023, though:
There is NO reason to choose between vertical and horizontal video. You can and should create both, every time.
There are endless ways to make content work for both vertical and horizontal outlets. It’s a couple extra steps, of course, but absolutely worthwhile. If you don’t, you’re missing out on potential views, customers, and revenue.
Good news: you can do-it-yourself OR work with a team who’s used to creating video for social media.
When you’re creating content, filming horizontally is a great way to start. If you want to add a second camera to your workflow, the possibilities expand when it’s time to edit. Remember that you don’t need a fancy second camera to get started either. Your phone, a GoPro, 360 camera, or even your webcam can add all to your options.
Our editors here at Aspire are constantly creating and optimizing our work across platforms. YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter are all great outlets for horizontal videos.
TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, and YouTube Shorts are all great places to consider posting your vertical cuts.
When you make both, you don’t limit your potential!
Usually, we do these extra steps in Premiere Pro and publish the content directly for our customers OR send each set of packaged files to our clients for distribution. Any way you want to work, the important thing is consistently creating for each platform.
Visual content—and video specifically—is always a big investment. Whether you create the content yourself or outsource to us here at Aspire, you want that effort to pay off. If we can help train your staff, plan your strategy, or execute for you, get in touch today!
